Week fourteen of the 2025 NFL season is over and as 2025 nears its end, the year that gave us the most annoying trend, “six-seven”, sees the AFC Champion and unquestioned powerhouse of the roaring twenties in the NFL, the Kansas City Chiefs, sitting outside the playoff picture with a record of 6-7.
Last week saw the Lions’ offense explode to kick off the week by downing the red hot Cowboys. Seattle rolled on and the Bills and Bengals went down to the wire in a shootout in the snow. The Titans upended the fight for the first overall pick beating the Browns and the Jags added to the woes of the Colts.
The Vikings bounced back and crushed the Commanders. The Dolphins’ win streak continued versus their AFC East rival Jets. The Saints upset the Bucs and the Steelers held off the reeling Ravens.
The Broncos grabbed the number one seed in the AFC beating Las Vegas while the Rams cruised against the Cardinals. The Bears ended the afternoon slate dropping out of the NFC North lead as they lost to the Packers.
Sunday night saw Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs fall to the mighty Texans’ defense and on Monday night, the Super Bowl champion Eagles fell in overtime to the Chargers and the golden foot of Dicker the Kicker.
Now onto this week’s games to see if we can top the drama and action of week fourteen.
Thursday Night Football features the Falcons and Bucs in an NFC South showdown.
Sunday afternoon in the early window has the Bears looking to bounce back against Shadeur Sanders and the Browns; the Ravens and Bengals fight for scraps in the AFC North; Arizona travels to Houston; the lowly Jets try to upset the AFC South leading Jaguars; the Chargers attempt to deliver a knock-out blow to the Chiefs’ playoff chances; the Commanders and Giants fight for draft pick seeding; the Raiders bring their mess to Philadelphia to deliver the Eagles a get-right game; and the crown jewel match-up of the Buffalo Bills travelling to Foxboro to face the first place New England Patriots in an AFC East showdown.
The later window has a potential Super Bowl preview with the red hot Denver Broncos hosting the Green Bay Packers; the first place Carolina Panthers face NFC South rivals the Saints in the Big Easy; the Lions travel to Los Angeles to face the mighty Matthew Stafford and the Rams; the Colts and Grandfather Phillip Rivers are off to Seattle; and the late window wraps up with the Titans travelling to San Francisco to face-off against the 49ers.
Sunday Night Football features a game that no doubt looked better before the season started with the Vikings in Dallas facing the Cowboys. The week wraps up on Monday Night Football with the red hot Miami Dolphins bringing their winning streak to Pittsburgh to take on Aaron Rodgers and the first place Steelers.
