Behind Enemy Lines: Is Tom Brady finally falling off? | Kansas City Chiefs

On Monday night the Kansas City Chiefs will play the New England Patriots. To learn more about them we sent a few questions to Hal Bent of cover32 Patriots.

1) It seems like the big story with New England this season is that Tom Brady is starting to decline as a QB. Is that a fair accusation or does the blame fall on his receivers?

Brady is 37 years old and the deep passing and accuracy have been in decline slightly since 2012. He is one of 13 on passes over 20 yards in the air to date. That being said, he has looked like the same Tom Brady of the past when he has time to make his reads and step into his throws on intermediate passes. Too many times Brady is trying to get the ball out of his hands in less than two seconds due to the pressure around him as the offensive line breaks down.

Brady has had growing pains with the receivers as well as more blame falls on the line as he has been forced to lock onto a primary target (usually Rob Gronkowski or Julian Edelman) rather than find Danny Amendola, Brandon LaFell, Aaron Dobson or Kenbrell Thompkins as a second or third read on the play... http://cover32.com/chiefs/2014/09/27/behind-enemy-lines-is-tom-brady-finally-falling-off/
