Game Preview: Dallas Cowboys Week One vs San Francisco 49ers – First Stop Fantasy
The Dallas Cowboys kick-off the 2014 season at home against the San Francisco 49ers. The 49ers have made the NFC Championship game the past three seasons but have had a difficult preseason. The Cowboys catch the 49ers short-handed on defense as defensive lineman Aldon Smith and linebacker NaVorro Bowman will miss the game. On offense, the 49ers have struggled as quarterback Colin Kaepernick was unable to move the ball consistently causing concern for the San Francisco fan base.
With a dynamic Philadelphia Eagles team and Washington looking to bounce-back, the Cowboys have a tough job to claw back into competition for the NFC East title. The Cowboys struggled on defense last year and after releasing defensive end Demarcus Ware for salary cap reasons now are again without linebacker Sean Lee. On offense, a healthy DeMarco Murray and Jason Witten, Dez Bryant, and Tony Romo keeps Dallas in the game each week as the offense–behind an improving offensive line–is in position to be one of the best in football.
