Patriots remain perplexing heading into playoffs. | Cover32

As the New England Patriots ready for the playoffs, they end the regular season with a two game losing streak and losers of four of their last six games. After topping 350 yards of total offense in all ten of their first ten games (all victories) the Patriots have topped 350 total yards just once since–their week 13 loss to the Eagles. Not coincidentally, the fall from grace by the New England offense coincides with the injury to Julian Edelman with a broken foot in the week ten victory over the Giants. The Patriots seemed determined on Sunday to keep everyone, still on the field, healthy. Rather than resting quarterback Tom Brady and tight end Rob Gronkowski, they instead played them and tried to keep them from harm. That, of course, backfired as Brady was unintentionally rolled-up by Ndamukong Suh on one of his five pass attempts and was limping during and after the game.
