The Return of the Mac as the 49ers gutted out a win over their NFC West rivals the Rams in overtime to kick off the week.
Miami was up 17-0 vs Carolina. Behind the running game, the Panthers came back and won.
Philadelphia was up 17-3 heading to the fourth quarter against Denver and the Broncos rallied against the champs and pulled out a huge victory.
Arizona led 21-3 at the half and 21-6 going into the fourth quarter and fell apart and lost to Titans 22-21.
The Bucs and Seahawks went back and forth all afternoon until one late mistake ended the Seahawks chances.
On Sunday Night Football, the Patriots went into Buffalo and upset the Bills in a back-and-forth affair.
And ending the week on Monday Night Football with Kansas City up 14-0 over Jacksonville and Trevor Lawrence and the Jaguars pull out the win.
This week’s games will try to match or top week five’s madness. It all kicks off Thursday Night on Amazon with an NFC East grudge match between the Eagles and Giants.
That’s followed up by another London game for Breakfast and Football Sunday morning as the Broncos face the Jets.
As the bye weeks are in full swing for the next couple of months, this week is a bit of a break for your Fantasy Football teams as only the Texans and Vikings are off this week.
There are seven games in the 1:00 PM Eastern time block and then three games in the 4:05/4:25PM Eastern time block. Sunday Night Football on NBC features the best match-up of the week as the Lions face-off against the Chiefs (and millions of fans will tune in to see if Taylor Swift shows up to cheer on Travis Kelce).
It all wraps up for week six with a pair of Monday Night Football games, the Bills looking to get back on track in Atlanta and then the Bears face-off against the Commanders.
Each week during the season, I make my picks with my buddy David on his SportsKrunch with DKrom podcast as we’ve done regularly for the past five years (and pre-pandemic as well).
Unfortunately for regular listeners of the show, I was back to record this weeks’ episode. Check out the episode as it is available here.
Please give a listen each week on your preferred podcast provider. All back episodes are available here at Apple podcasts.

Parlay Plays:
I figured I’d add a parlay I really like, not that anyone should ever take my advice based on my record, but just for a bit of fun. These are DraftKings odds as always, so I’ll use their parlay odds and add this week they have a 25% NFL Profit Boost for a 4+Leg Parlay (they should be paying me for this advertising!)
4-Leg Parlay: I call it “three overwhelming favorites and a hot (under)dog!”
Bills -4.5 (-115)
Would you want to play Josh Allen after a loss to an AFC East team? Me neither. This line dropped, but it should be moving in the other direction by at least a field goal or more.
Colts -7 (-112)
I was slow to act on placing the parlay and the early week odds changed and the line moved to -7…but I’d still take it I’d take the Colts at -15.5!
Broncos -7.5 (-105)
Lock it down--this is the Lock of the week and another game I’ll take whatever odds they’re giving on Denver. Going against a real strong defense for Justin Fields and the Jets should be a disaster for the winless Aaron Glenn led squad.
Lions +2.5 (-110)
Another moving line, but this time in a direction that benefits my belief in the Lions. Injuries in the Detroit secondary are scaring off the other bettors, but the Chiefs have small and fast receivers, they don’t have the size to take advantage of Detroit’s small and quick backup cornerbacks.
4-Leg Parlay Odds: +1219 (With DraftKings 25% NFL Parlay Boost: +1524)
$10 bet = $162 payout
