Week eleven of the 2025 NFL season is in the books and we’re on to week 12.
The Patriots kicked off the week with a 27-14 win over the Jets to go to 9-2. Meanwhile, Buffalo and Miami both won with the Dolphins going to Spain to beat the Commanders and the Bills adding to the AFC East dominance of the NFC South as they outscored Tampa Bay in a wild, high-scoring match-up.
The Chargers got destroyed by Jacksonville and the surprising Bears outlasted McCarthy Magic and defeated the spiralling Vikings. The Packers held off Jameis Winston and the pesky Giants. The Texans’ defense won them a nail-biter against the Titans while the Steelers crushed the Bengals as loogey’s flew and a suspension followed for Ja’Marr Chase.
In the late window the big games featured the Broncos’ dynamic defense knocking off Patrick Mahomes and the Rams edging out the Seahawks by harassing and pressuring Sam Darnold. The 49ers blasted Arizona and Baltimore looked rusty but had enough to get past Cleveland.
On Sunday night, the Lions ran into a brick wall called the Eagles’ defense as the champs took out high powered Lions 16-9. The week ended with the Cowboys in an emotional Monday night game knocking off the spiralling Raiders.
What a week that was! Now onto this week to see if we can top the entertainment level in week 12.
Thursday night kicks off this week with the AFC East defending division champs needing a win as the Buffalo Bills take their red hot offense into Houston to test their mettle against the number one defense in the NFL.
The 1:00PM games kick off with the Bears welcoming Aaron Rodgers and his fractured left hand while the Patriots face-off against the Ja’Marr Chase-less Bengals, who may get quarterback Joe Burrow back ahead of schedule. The Lions get a much needed “get right game” against the Giants while the Packers try to defend Lambeau against the desperate Vikings.
The Seahawks travel to Tennessee which leaves the 12s to plan a Sunday Brunch to watch their beloved Seahawks. I’m up for a Sunday breakfast at McCoy’s Firehouse in Pioneer Square if anyone wants to buy me a plane ticket to my beloved Pacific Northwest. Finally, the Jets made a quarterback change and are headed to Baltimore to test the Ravens.
In the late window, the big game of the four is the NFC East battle between the wildly different Eagles and Cowboys. Dallas is unstoppable on offense while the Eagles’ defense has been shifting to a higher gear. The Falcons and Saints battle for a top-five draft pick and the Raiders and Browns fight for the number two pick. Finally, the Jaguars need a win to keep their playoff hopes alive and travel to the desert to face the reeling Cardinals.
Sunday Night Football features the Rams hosting the Buccaneers, who are starting to get desperate for a win. The week wraps up with the Christian McCaffery Bowl as the 49ers host the Carolina Panthers.
