Heading into the 2014 NFL Draft the Green Bay Packers still had needs at wide receiver, safety, tight end, and the defensive line and offensive line–particularly at center.  General manager Ted Thompson has developed a reputation as a shrew drafter able to extract talent throughout the draft. However, with these needs to be filled in the 2014 NFL Draft it was quite the challenge for Thompson and the Packers front office.
