With the gaping hole in the outfield patched-up now, the Red Sox need to focus on the starting rotation for ’15. With Joe Kelly the only starter all but guaranteed of opening in the ’15 rotation, Buchholz unreliable as ever, and the rest of the youngsters unproven, the Red Sox should be looking at two top-of-the-rotation starting pitchers in free agency or through the trade market.
